Paid my own medical expenses on parent's health insurance

I'm 19 and on my dad's health insurance but I paid for my own prescriptions and doctor co-pays. Can I claim these medical expenses on my taxes?

Is your dad claiming you as a dependent?  When did you turn 19?  Are you a full time student?

Chances are the amount you paid in medical expenses will not be enough to deduct on your return. Medical expenses are an itemized deduction on Schedule A and are deductible to the extent they exceed 7.5% of your adjusted gross income (AGI).
