Paid my own medical expenses on parent's health insurance

I'm 19 and on my dad's health insurance but I paid for my own prescriptions and doctor co-pays. Can I claim these medical expenses on my taxes?

Chances are the amount you paid in medical expenses will not be enough to deduct on your return. Medical expenses are an itemized deduction on Schedule A and are deductible to the extent they exceed 7.5% of your adjusted gross income (AGI). Is your dad claiming you as a dependent?  When did you turn 19?  Are you a full time student?
