Paid for half my expenses half the year

I was on SSI for half of the year, but was working for half the year paying my rent with taxable income. Do I qualify as "supporting myself" for the year?

Yes, if you didn't receive any support from any other sources.  You work and your Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is considered support from your own sources.
