Personal exemptions are entered on your tax return automatically by the software when you complete the Personal Info section for yourself, your spouse (if applicable) and dependents (if applicable).  Each personal exemption is $4,050.

The total of the personal exemptions is entered on Form 1040 Line 42, Form 1040A Line 26 and included on Form 1040EZ Line 5.

Using the TurboTax online editions you can preview the Form 1040 at any time.  Click on My Account at the top of the program screen.  Click on Tools.  Click on View Tax Summary.  Click on Preview my 1040
