Our house taxes are paid at the end of the year. This time they were paid in January 2017. So I had none paid in 2016 but will have them paid twice in 2017. help!!

If no property taxes was paid in 2016, you cannot claim the deduction on your 2016 tax return.  If you are going to have another payment made by the end of 2017, you will be able to deduct both payments ( January and later month in 2017) on your 2017 tax return.
