On WV state return. I lived in my home from Jan 1 thru Apr 30 2018. I purchased a second home that is our residence. Can I use the homestead credit from my first house

this is property tax from my first house as the second house we did not have property taxes to pay in 2018. Seller paid them. can I use the homestead credit for the 1st house we own?

Yes, you can include the portion from the first house as it was your home during the part of 2018 before you purchased the new home.
