Not understanding an HSA question(s) under the "Deductions & Credits" section

Every year that I've used TurboTax, this part has left me feeling confused.  Honestly, I've probably answered it differently from year to year because the guidance from TurboTax isn't very useful.

I carry insurance for my family (which I've done for about the last 10 years).  I am the only earner who contributes to an HSA.  My family plan (me+spouse+children) is a high-deductible plan that qualifies me for contributing to an HSA.  One other thing.  I am preparing our federal return as married filling jointly (as I've done for years).  After I get done entering the details about my HSA contribution and the fact that I'm in a plan that is a HDHP it asks the following question: "What type of HDHP did <spouse> have on December 1, 2023?". My options are "Family", "Self", or "None".  She was covered by the plan that I carry through my employer.  However, is that what they're asking?  Or are they asking if she also was enrolled in a HDHP through her employer?  I've never been confident about which to select; "Family" (through my plan) or "None" (meaning she's not enrolled in her employer's plan).   If I select "Family" then there's a follow up question that states: "Did <spouse>'s HDHP coverage laps in 2024 due to disability?" which also includes the statement "We see <spouse> had a break in HDHP coverage during 2024.  Let us know if this was the result of a disability." and my options are "Yes, the coverage ended due to disability" and "No, the coverage ended for other reasons."

TurboTax doesn't make this very clear.  I hesitate to answer "None" to the first question because she was covered by a HDHP the entire 2024 year (under my employer-sponsered healthcare plan).  But it seems like answering "Family" implies that she was also enrolled in her own work-sponsored healthcare plan.  Regardless of how I answer these questions, it doesn't seem to affect what I owe.  Any ideas?  Can somebody please put me on the right track?

Not understanding an HSA question(s) under the "Deductions & Credits" section

Since your wife was covered under your family plan, your answer to the question What type of High Deductible Health Plan did [spouse] have on December 1, 2024 should be None. The question is referring to the HDHP that your wife may have had in her name.

If you need to correct, return to the section, and answer the questions again. Follow the instructions below:

  1. Open TurboTax
  2. Select Deductions and Credits
  3. Scroll down to Medical and select Revisit next to HSA
  4. Edit your answers in the HSA interview and make sure that you answer None for your spouse.

For information, refer to the TurboTax article What is a high-deductible health plan (HDHP)?
