We had solar panels put on our home in 2016 however we do not own the panels, it's kinda like a lease. does that qualify for anything?

the solar company is responsible for maintenance and repairs of the panels, the lease is for 20years. does this give me any credits

No, the solar panel company gets the tax credit when they own them.
