New Child in 2020

We have a baby that was born in 2020.  We did not receive the extra $500 and $600 for the 1st and 2nd stimulus payments (respectively) for our qualifying child.  Our Turbotax App is not allowing us to complete a Recovery Rebate Tax Credit form to recover these missed disbursements.  What is going on here?

Go back to My Info and make sure you said your baby lived with you the WHOLE YEAR and not just the number of months.  Even a baby was born on Dec 31 is considered to live with you the whole year.  You might have to delete the baby and re add him.  Pay attention to the questions, especially the one asking if he paid more than half of his support.  

Or did you have another child that turned 17 or that you are not claiming this year?  And did you get the full amount for the first 2 Stimulus payments?  2400+1200?

Is your 2020 AGI greater than $150,000?  If it is then you may be phased out of being eligible for the Recovery Rebate Credit.

If it is not, then you need to review your answers for the child.  You should have indicated that the child lived with you for the Whole Year if born in 2020, as is noted on that page.  You should have indicated that the child did Not provide over one-half of their own support.  You should Not have checked the box not valid for employment when entering the child's Social Security number.
