New Child as of October 2016, Turbo Tax said since not 6 months or longer in 2016 we dont qualify for the credit. Your website says we time dont matter and we qualify...?

I already submitted my returns and now I don't know what to do because thats a difference of $1000 we are missing out on.

You will have to amend your tax return- in the personal info section, the question of how many months the child lived with you is "the whole year" if the child was born during the year. You must send the amended return, but you will get a check for the additional refund
