Hi there,
I work in Oregon, and a handful of days out of the year my work sent me out to Washington. I kept track of all those days because I know it's considered "tax free." But, now I'm wondering how I input those days into Turbo Tax. Thank you!

Well....Are you an OR resident, or a WA resident?

IF you are an OR resident, then everything is correct. OR can tax your income form everywhere, including the time you worked in WA state. OR would allow you a credit for taxes you had to pay to another state for working there...but since WA isn't taxing it, there's no credit and OR can tax all of it.

IF you were a WA resident, working cross-border in OR? Then talk to the employer about whey they didn't delineate the $$ on the W-2.
....(or maybe they did? Like If OR wages on the W-2 are lower than the box 1 $$, then those days may already be accounted for, and they just don't list the WA stuff on a second line for boxes 15,16,17 since there is no tax for WA earnings)
hi there! I am a WA resident.
I was told to just keep track of it myself.
Yes, "keeping track of it yourself" is the usual way.
I'm not specifically familiar with the OR non resident program, but the way it usually works: you will encounter a screen that will ask you to allocate each piece of income (wages, interest, etc) as OR or not OR.
If you earned Income in Oregon yes, you should keep documentation of this with your tax records. You can file an Oregon Non-Resident state return to recoup any tax you paid there.
When you prepare your return in TurboTax, you are asked in the Personal Info section in your Federal return if you earned income in other states.
You'll report only the wages earned/tax paid on your Oregon Non-Resident return
Here's more info on How to File a Non-Resident State Return.
