My wife and I work for the state of Texas, can we deduct unreimbursed work expenses under "fee-basis for a state or local government" section of Turbotax?

We both work for University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.  I am a Respiratory Therapist and she is an Administrative Assistant in Ob/Gyn Purchasing.  I have scrub and equipment expenses but only has some office supplies and clothing expenses.

You are not a fee-basis state official. A fee-basis government official is someone who is compensated by collecting fees for his or her services, rather than being paid a salary or wages.
