My social security card is valid for work with DHS authorization but my work permit expired in 2025. Can I still claim EIC & CTC?

@keilamorreno184 , what visa are you on ?  You are saying that your EAD has expired during 2025 ?   Are you married, with child/children ?   Which country are you from ?  Are your dependent(s)  with SSN or ITIN ?  How did you end up with EIC  with EAD ?

I think the short answer is:

EIC = No.

Child Tax Credit:  Only the $500 Other Dependent Credit if your child is under age 17 (and meets the other requirements), not the full $2200 Child Tax Credit.
