My refund difference is $755 (itemize) to $3,246 (stand.) deductions, and turbotax recommends itemize. What will happen if i choose standard over Itemized (recommend)??

I am confused on why the itemize gives less refund over standard. My itemize is $11k over standard deductions. I don't want to get in trouble by selecting the standard deduction. Please help.

You may change your deduction to see the effect and then you may switch back if you wish (taxpayers may choose whichever method provides the greater deduction). Please review the following TurboTax FAQ for more information:
