My mother signed her house deed over to me in Oct 2018. I did not pay anything for the home except the fee to file the new deed. How do I report this on my taxes?

You don't report it on your return. It is not an inheritance and gifts are not taxable to the recipient.

However, it is possible that it could be taxable to your mother.
