My mom claimed my child for 2020 and received child tax credit for him in 2021.can I claim him for this current tax year?

Yes, you can claim the child as your dependent in 2021 as long as the child qualifies as such. You may qualify for the full child tax credit even though your mother received an advance on it last year. She may be allowed to keep the advance child tax credit, depending on her income.

And you may get the 1,400 Recovery rebate credit on line 30  for him too even if she got it.  The Child Tax Credit will be on line 28.   When Turbo Tax asks you how much you already got for it only enter what you got, not what your mom got.
