My husband gets a car allowance - employer (taxed). We have always deducted mileage. It appears that has been taken away. Can we deduct our auto lease payment instead?

Unfortunately, the new tax law that took effect 1/1/2018 removed the unreimbursable employee expenses, so no, you cannot deduct the auto lease payment on your return.
