No, there is no deduction for this situation. Child support, when you do receive it, is nontaxable to you. And if you have physical custody of the children, you are the parent who is entitled to claim them as dependents.

How is amount calculated for the child tax credit? I made more than the required 2500 in E.I. The amount of taxes I owe zeroed out but how only $89-CTC and $6-additional
