No. First grade is a school grade and there is no deduction for that. Education expenses of any sort, public, private, or home schooled, for grades K-12 are not deductible on your Federal Tax return. Some states have credits/deductions for such, but it varies by state. If your state has such, it will be covered in the state interview when you prepare your state return.
