My car’s fuel tank was ruptured by flying debris from a pick up truck ahead of me. I paid a $500 deductible for the repair. Is this deductible? I have the insurance claim

No. Sorry. casualty loss deductions were eliminated by the new tax laws. Even under the old law, a $500 loss would not have been deductible.
