The Third Stimulus was just enacted into law, and is not part of your 2020 tax return or refund. Rather, the IRS is issuing those payments separately. Did you receive them for the adults in your household?
If you didn't receive the additional $500 from the first stimulus check and/or the additional $600 from the second stimulus for your eligible children, you should have claimed the amounts as the Recovery Rebate Credit when you filed your 2020 federal tax return. If you did not, then you would need to amend your return. If you did, you can check your status on your Online IRS account. Here is the link.
There is a third stimulus coming. Here is a TurboTax article with more information.
Yes. We have 2 adults, and 3 children. One of those children were born in February of 2020. I received $5,600 on the 3rd stimulus, so I'm just assuming that 2020 Baby wasn't included on this because the IRS didn't recognize my 2020 Tax Return.
Yeah, i'm not talking about this. I took care of that problem (1st and 2nd stimulus payments) on my 2020 return i just filed. I'm just saying I filed my 2020 return which had 5 people on it, including my 2020 born child. But the 3rd stimulus which was adopted into law and issued after I completed my 2020 return didn't include all 5 people (specifically, the 2020 born child).
The IRS must have based your stimulus amount on your 2019 return; the 2020 return must not have hit its database before the stimulus was sent.
The IRS hasn't announced any procedures just yet for taxpayers in your situation. Please see the IRS Economic Impact Payments page for any updates.
