exclusion from what?
Who is it from? Like Vanguard? There should be some extra sheets with the 1099Div to show the percentages for each fund and state. But my Vanguard didn't include them this year. I had to go online and print them out myself.

You probably need these 2 ….

Thank you , mine are from 3 different stocks . This must be new on turbo tax as I’ve never been asked this.
Stock dividends…. I’m asked what the “exclusion % is”. Must be new on turbo tax this year as I’ve not been asked this before.
The only exclusion for stock dividends is a return of capital, which is entered into Box 3, Form 1099-DIV. Review your dividend entry for each 1099-DIV to see if you selected something in error.

@kris10maiden
Hi, I had this exactly question for my Robinhood return which led me to this thread. Nothing here helped me, but after trying to get TurboTax to stop demanding I need to review the form, I just didn't check any of the 4 boxes and that let it go through.
Like you I couldn't find any mention on my document of an exclusion percentage and it turns out that's because there wasn't one. There should have been a 0% or a none of these option on TurboTax. I assumed I had to pick one but you don't need to if you don't have one!
Thx … I finally had to delete the uploaded 1099_Div that was added with the QR (it auto checks the box) code and enter it myself. Finally was able to finish!
