My 1098 statement does not say how much property taxes I paid in 2017. Only says mortgage insurance premiums. Where do I find that information at?

If you’re unsure how much you paid in real estate taxes and it is not on your 1098 statement, you can quickly obtain the information from your county assessor office.  You should have also received a tax bill from them in 2017 if these taxes are not paid out of escrow.
