It doesn't sound like you would have met the time test for this to count as a moving expense, but it's possible that the Minnesota job could be a temporary job site.

You must work full-time for a minimum of 39 weeks during the initial 12-month period that starts on the day you arrive in the new location. See this link https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/tax-tips/General-Tax-Tips/IRS-Moving-Expense-Deductions/INF143...

If, on the other hand, your job in MN was expected to be a temporary assignment, meant to last 1 year or less (and this is what was spelled out at the beginning of the job), you may be able to deduct your lodging and travel for the duration of the assignment. You would deduct this under job expenses.
