Hi,
I had a job abroad and my hiring company paid for my air ticket and covid-19 quarantine hotel stay. May I know if I could enter these 2 expenses in the 'Moving Expenses' at the 'Other Deductions and Credits' Category? Please refer to the screen shot below:

Thank you

If you are a "hired" employee (like a W-2 employee) then your moving expenses, along with any other job related expenses are not deductible. Would be different if you were self-employed and reporting your business income on SCH C.
If the company paid your moving expenses under an "accountable plan", then the reimbursements won't be included on your W-2 box 1 and won't be taxable. Otherwise, the reimbursements are income and taxable.
If moving expense were deductible in your situation, no, you can't deduct moving expenses that were reimbursed by the hiring company.
The moving expense deduction has been suspended for tax years 2018 through 2025 because of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act that was signed into law in late December of 2017. However, you may be able to deduct moving expenses if you serve in the active military and meet certain circumstances.
