Hi, All:
I moved with my current job 150 miles to a new city. I had 6 months remaining on my original lease. My Employer is now only paying for three months. I will have to pay current lease plus the remaining 3 months lease for the original apartment.
Are there any deductions I can take as an non reimbursed moving (or business) expense?

The tax laws that changed for 2018 and beyond eliminated moving expenses as a deduction on a federal return except for certain active duty members of the military. Sorry---your rent, etc. is a personal expense. W-2 employees cannot deduct job-related expenses on a federal tax return.
