If I sold my home in 2016, but did not receive a 1099-s, do i still have to report it on my state taxes?

It was not inherited property, but my personal home.

Most likely, no. However, you may want to check your state tax website.

As far as I know, all states recognize the Federal home sale exclusion. Therefore, if the sale of your home was excluded on your Federal return, it will be excluded on your state income tax return.
