Mortgage insurance paid but does not show on 1098 - where does it get input to get credit for?

Box 5 does not show anything on 1098 but listed under Escrow activity.

Mortgage insurance is not deductible in 2017. The deduction expired at the end of 2016 and any possible renewal is stuck in Congress.
