Mom bought a single family house last year and the builder is leasing the house from her to use as a model home. Is the house considered to be commercial or residential ?
If it matters, she was required to buy commercial insurance for the period that the builder was leasing the property.

Since the property was leased to a business and is not being used as a residence by the renter, it would be considered a commercial property during this time.
