Military retirement ceremony costs

Are the customary costs involved with a military retirement ceremony (cake, food, bunting, tablecloths, bunting, etc.) tax-deductible?  Maybe in the spot for work related meals?

Military retirement ceremony costs

No.  That was a personal expense.    W-2 employees cannot deduct any sort of job-related expenses on a federal tax return.   But hope you had a nice party!
