Medical insurance

I entered the information from my 1095A ($7,356 premium tax pmt) and then entered the medical insurance payments I made in the appropriate spot. ($7,338) The result is a medical deduction of what Obamacare paid and what I paid ($14,694). Should I be getting both amounts as a deduction?

Medical insurance

No.  You should only be claiming what you paid out of pocket for premiums in the Medical deduction section.  The amounts of your advanced premium tax credit payments are only entered when you enter your 1095-A.  Those amounts are used to calculate any additional premium tax credit or repayment.
