Medical Expenses Worksheet Line 2b incorrect

Medical Expenses Worksheet Line 2b (for Schedule A line 1) does not match total from 1095A. The value appears to be rounded up to the nearest $100. Why does line 2b not match 1095-A line 33 Annual Totals? There is nothing in Part III column B or C. I have only one 1095-A, and no Schedule C or other adjustment.

Medical Expenses Worksheet Line 2b incorrect

I do not have a Schedule C or Schedule 1. I also don't have a PTC; Schedule 3 line 8 is blank. I solved the problem by changing one of the month values on the 1095A to offset/override the value that TT gets wrong. The total on the 1095A is now wrong, but the worksheet is now correct. Good enough as the 1095 is not filed by me.

I have seen nothing from TT relative to an error or fix on this problem. Perhaps the easiest solution is to not enter the 1095A at all. Just enter the total value in a worksheet. At this point, I've moved on, but it would be nice to know TT has a solution and that next year's TT will be better.

Medical Expenses Worksheet Line 2b incorrect

I have the same issue with line 2b, "Taxpayers portion of 1095-A premiums (total less spouse).  Mine is not rounded to the nearest hundred.  My line 2b amount is 79.77% of what I entered on the 1095-A.  I have googled and cannot find how this figure is calculated.  Please advise!

Do either of you have a Sch C on the return with a profit ???   If so some of the medical insurance premiums paid out of pocket will reduce the Sch A deduction  OR  did you get more of the PTC on the return ?  That also will reduce the Sch A deduction.  Review the form 1040 carefully and the Sch 1 line 16 or  Sch 3 line 8.

Yes!  I do have a Schedule C and that difference seems to tie to the missing amount!  Thank you!

One year later this same problem still exists. Thankful to all who replied to this question last year. Had I not read your comments I would have wasted more time looking for my $120 keying error. One would think TT would have read comments here from last year and would have fixed this bug by now.

I had this rounding error too, and also wasted time looking for the source of the discrepancy, until I found the answer here.
