It sounds as if you are trying to enter your property taxes in the section with your mortgage interest. Remove the entry for property taxes in that section and go back to the Deductions & Credits screen.
Since you do not have a mortgage, please follow these steps to enter your property tax:
- In the Your Home section, clicking the Start/Revisit box next to Property Taxes.
- Enter your taxes on the next screen, Enter the Property Taxes You Paid.
