My parents' home is in my and my siblings name but they still live in the home under life estate ownership. Am I able to deduct my share of the property taxes?

It depends.

Since your name is on the deed, if you paid a portion of the property taxes in 2016, you will be able to claim that portion as an itemized deduction on your tax return. However, if you did not actually pay anything towards the property taxes, you will not be able to claim any deduction.

It depends.

Since your name is on the deed, if you paid a portion of the property taxes in 2016, you will be able to claim that portion as an itemized deduction on your tax return. However, if you did not actually pay anything towards the property taxes, you will not be able to claim any deduction.
