Sold home in 2016 so movers packed our property and it is in storage but we aren't moving until 2017. Can we deduct everything in 2017 or do we have to deduct moving expenses we paid in 2016 in 2016?

It depends on whether or not you are going to be reimbursed for the move. If you are going to be, then you will wait and deduct the storage expenses along with your other expenses in 2017. If you are not going to be, then you will claim the storage expenses this year and the other expenses in 2017.
