I have read: "Federal Tax Credit (Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit): Under the Inflation Reduction Act, homeowners can claim a tax credit of 30% of the cost of qualified energy-efficient home improvements, including radon mitigation systems, up to a maximum annual limit of $1,200. This is available for improvements placed in service through December 31, 2025."
If this is true, where in TurboTax would I claim the tax credit? A radon system did not appear anywhere in Home Energy Credits under Your 2025 Deductions & Credits so perhaps it's listed elsewhere? Thanks in advance.

No, it's not a system designed to reduce heat gain or loss, like insulation.
No, this is not true. A radon system does not improve energy efficiency. The Home Improvement Energy Efficient Credit does not include the radon mitigation system.
It includes the following:
Although you cannot claim the energy credit for the radon system, you can add it to the cost basis of your home for when/if you sell your home. This will lower the profit on the sale of your home. Be sure to keep your receipts for the radon system for when or if you do sell.
