Is my credential renewal fees deductible?

Hi,

I am an RN working in a public school system as a school nurse. I hold a school nurse credential (similar to a teacher's credential) Are the renewal fees for the credential deductible? If so where do I deduct theses fees?

If you are a W-2 employee, then job-related expenses are not deductible on your federal return. Your state tax laws may be different.
