Independently created prior-year HSA account

I just opened (in 2019) a consolidation account under Fidelity for several HSA accounts my wife had from prior employers.  I funded this HSA for prior year (2018) from our personal checking.  How do I correctly enter this information into TT given that I have *no* documentation from Fidelity (no distributions)?

It sounds like you made a personal contribution to some HSA. You don't need documentation from Fidelity to file this. Do the following:

1. Do a Search (upper right) for "hsa" (lower case, without the double quotes), and jump to the result.
2. Check that you have an HSA (or your wife, whichever of you owns it).
3. Go through the HSA interview.
4. When you get to the screen with the heading "Let's enter [nam]'s HSA contributions, enter your contribution to the second line - "personally"
5. Finish the HSA interview.
6. Check to see that this amount appears on line 25 of Schedule 1 as an adjustment to income.
