The child tax credit for my child should be $3000 for 2021 (up from $2000 for 2020), I entered the $1500 I already received in 2021 ($250*6) but it is only saying I have $500 left to claim (instead of the remaining $1500). It appears to be using 2020 limits (ie $2000-$1500 already received = the $500 it shows on the screen for my child tax credit) so if someone can please assist let me know.

What line are you looking at? You need to look at line 28 of your Form 1040.
The remaining amount of CTC that you can receive will show up on line 28 of your 2021 Form 1040.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.
Correct I'm looking at line 28, it says $500, it should say $1500 (ie $3000 - the $1500 I already received), unless I'm not understanding the credit correctly
This has been resolved, there is a haircut on the child tax credit based on certain income levels, did the math on form 8812 and the line 5 worksheet and it makes sense now/it is accurate.
