Income for my granddaughter

Do I claim her state given income, cash aide and food stamps? I have had her since age 2 (17 now) court ordered.

No

If the aide and food stamps were taxable, your daughter would file a return, but they are not considered taxable income. You can claim a child as your dependent and the child can still file AS A DEPENDENT if they need to file.

If the child has other income that is considered taxable, such as wages, she might need to file a return, but the situation you describe suggests she does not file and you do not claim the aide or food stamps. You still claim her as your dependent.
