In the State of Nebraska, should the amounts my property tax statement show for school district bonds and capital purpose be included with the school taxes paid?

I am looking to see if I qualify for a property tax refund.

To determine the amount to be included, Nebraska will have a Look-up Tool, but it is not yet available.  This link is where you can monitor the availability of the Look-up Tool - Look-up Tool

Based on the instructions for the credit it appears bonds are not included.

Limitation on School District Property Tax. Nebraska School District Property Tax Paid does not include property taxes levied for bonded indebtedness or as a result of an override of the limits on property tax levies approved by voters.

It appears this credit (form PTC) will apply to most every Nebraskan that paid property tax. An easy credit!

Turbo Tax should do a better job highlighting this question on the state form - as they know that I paid Property Taxes and that I am filing in Nebraska.  Currently the question is easily overlooked.

If you want to read the legislation - see LB1107.
