At least for W11, Desktop premier......Yeah, when you go back to change an amount, it ends up just adding in a new amount, then adds the $$ together. I can fix it in forms mode in the desktop software, but Online software people are left hanging.....if it's doing the same thing.

[Later} but seems to be an issue for just some of the carryover charity sheets......especially if you entered $$ in Forms Mode before the Charity section was implemented. And if you entered a multiple-times entery in Forms Mode (say $150, 3times, for $450), the interview entry only shows the $150 amount, even if the total in the table is correct. And if you change the interview amount to $450, the 3times not showing from the background form, will multiply that 450 3x to be 1350.
TTX is changing the logic in the interview to be total $$ only, and then using/misusing the same Forms Mode worksheets in the background as they did last year. More Chaos for those of us with desktop software.
Ohhh.....that happens for an existing charity form that carried over from my 2024 file, but if I create a new charity file, then the $$ entered can be edited afterwards.
i.e. as a workaround, you might need to just hit the trashcan for that charity and re-enter it.

ANND...at least for cash donations, no longer allows entries of different $$ on different dates...just a total.

Lord Amighty, who releases this stuff in such crappy shape??
Are you sure you are using the "Online" version of the software.
I just tried my "Online" test file, and entering cash $$ to an existing charity sheet then going back and editing the $$ worked OK. You do have to hit the pencil to go back.
For me on my test "Online" account, this was an existing charity that carried over from last year's Online tax file.......something that didn't work in my "Desktop" software....as noted in my previous comments above.
