The IRS does not care about the "value" of your home ever.  If you sold your home, you need to enter the price you originally paid and the selling price.  Did you somehow get into the section for selling your home?

There might be a state tax benefit that is tied to the value of your home.  To help you, we would need to know the state and the tax benefit you are trying to enter.
