If you were both owners, and both listed on the mortgage, then you can split the property tax and mortgage interest deductions based on who actually paid what. Just be sure that combined, you don't claim more than the total.

What if we are both owners, but only ex-husband is on the mortgage. He pays the mortgage and deducts my half from the child support he would otherwise have to pay me.
