If you enter RV interest on line 11 of schedule A - but the Home Mortgage Interest worksheet will not allow you to check the :"No" box what do you do?

On the Home Mortgage Interest worksheet on 2a - you have the option to click yes if you have a 1098 and no if you do not have a 1098 - The yes box is checked and you cannot change it

Yes, you can change this entry by returning to the Step-by-Step interview for Form 1098.

After you open your return, use the Find/Search box in the TurboTax header to search on "1098." Click on the jump-to link to go to the start of this section.

1. On the "Home Loan Deduction Summary" page, click Edit beside the Mortgage Lender you need to work on.
2. Continue to the page "Tell Us More About Your Loan from...."
3. If you did NOT receive Form 1098, check the box for "This is a seller-financed loan..."
4. This will change the answer for Line 2a from Yes to No.
5. Continue to the end to verify your entries and save your work.

You can confirm the change using Forms Mode to open the Home Mortgage Interest Worksheet for that loan.

Note: Forms Mode is available only in TurboTax for Desktop.
