I accidentally put a standard deduction.

I need to remove the standard deduction but it won't let me.

If you do not have enough itemized deductions on your tax return, the program will automatically give you the higher standard deduction.

If you want to change the deduction to itemized, click on My Account at the top of the online program screen.  Then click on Tools.  Then click on Topic Search.  Type in itemized deductions, choosing and click on the GO button when the option is highlighted.

On the screen that is presented, click on the checkbox for changing your deduction and click Continue.  Follow the interview for changing your deduction.
