Is there an easier way to split capital gains sales between two states? I lived in 2states last year and had about 500 transactions. Doing it one by one is not feasible.

Is there an easier way to split capital gains sales between two states? I lived in 2states last year and had about 500 transactions. Doing it one by one is not feasible.

If you can download or copy-paste the transactions into a spreadsheet, you can sort by trade date and sum the two state blocks separately.
