If it is telling me on my return that i do not get an earned income credit because i lived out of the country, how do i fix it. I lived in tx all year.

Go fix the Earned Income Tax Credit:

1. Click on Deductions & Credits
2. Edit Earned Income Credit (EIC)
3. Click Continue on the screen Looks Like the Earned Income Credit may put more money in your pocket.
4. The next screen will ask if your lived in the U.S. for more than six months in 2020. Choose Yes.

Answer the rest of the questions — and if lived in the U.S. was the only issue — then TurboTax will add EIC to your tax return.
