You may be able to deduct vehicle expenses using the mileage allowance for a vehicle used for trips away from home (more than 100 miles) related to your military reservist activities. The vehicle deduction would be limited to the amount over 2% of your adjusted gross income and you would have to be able to benefit from itemizing your deductions for the deduction to be beneficial to you. It would be entered in the Employment Expenses (Job Related Expenses) section in the Deductions and Credits section of TurboTax.
