If I clicked on add a new lender in the mortgage section in error can I delete my selection?

Yes, you can delete it. Try going to the main Tax Home page> Take me to my return> Federal tab on the left. Then, click on the top Deductions & Credits. Select Edit/Add on the Mortgage Interest line. Then, you will be able to select the one to delete.
