I was wondering how do I go back into our taxes to file our property taxes? We already filed our taxes, but at the time we didn't have our 2018 property tax statement.

If you already filed your taxes, you would need to file an amended return to include any additional expenses related to the 2017 calendar tax year.

Regarding your 2018 property taxes, you would only be allowed to take a deduction for your 2018 property taxes if they were actually paid in 2017 (so only amounts actually paid in 2017 for property taxes would be allowed as a deduction on your 2017 tax return.)

Yes, they were paid in full 2017. I'm just wondering about filing the 2018 property tax see if we would get a property tax refund in the fall like we have in the past.
